Welcome to the new website of the Mayfield Curling Club (MCC), an active curling club with dedicated curling ice in the suburbs of Cleveland. Established in 1962, MCC is located on the Mayfield Campus of the Mayfield Sand Ridge Club (MSR) in South Euclid. As part of the Great Lakes Curling Association (GLCA), we participate fully in all United States Curling Association (USCA) programs.

Try Curling for Yourself
Sports Illustrated says that
"you'd care more about [Olympic] curling if you actually played it." Well, here is your chance! Mayfield Curling Club will hold an
Open House on March 6, 2010 from 2:00 – 5:30 pm. Click
here for further information. During the Open House there will be an
opportunity to learn about the basics of the sport, observe some curling, and receive introductory instruction.

Current Events at Mayfield
Evergreen Mixed Bonspiel
The 2009-2010 Evergreen Bonspiel is complete. Congratulations to Mayfield's Team Moore (Mike Moore, Tracie Moore, Roger & Martha Peckinpaugh)
for winning the event. It was an all Mayfield final, as they came from behind to defeat Team Dedolph in a thrilling game. Full results coming soon.
Memorial Bonspiel
With the close of the Evergreen, the season is winding down. However, Mayfield members still have one more big bonspiel on the calendar. The 2010
World Cup provides the backdrop for our year-ending in-house mixed bonspiel. Members can read more
information and
sign up online.
Pittsburgh Friendly
In the tradition of interclub camaraderie and competition, Mayfield hosted the 3rd annual Browns vs. Steelers Friendly against the
Pittsburgh Curling Club on Sunday, February 21. In a spirited competition that was much closer than most Browns vs. Steelers games, PCC came away
with their first victory in the yearly event. When reached for comment, the Browns indicated that with a strong draft, they feel confident they can
rebound next year.
USA Curling Nationals
Mayfield's own Team Horn will be competing at the 2010 Curling Nationals in Kalamazoo, MI beginning March 6th. Best of luck
to Deb Horn, Laurel Maurer, Courtney Schmidt, and Emilia Juocys. Additionally, MCC's Michael Moore (of Team Wight, 2009 MIB champions) has advanced
through the Challenge Round to join Team Horn at Nationals.

USWCA Nationals
Mayfield's presence was felt strongly at the
2010 USWCA National Women's Bonspiel,
February 10-14 in Schenectady, NY. Three teams from the 32-team field were representing Mayfield, and all three met with success. None more so
than the team of Deb Horn, Leslie Cooke, Laurel Maurer, and Courtney Schmidt, who won the bonspiel. The team of Dee Montgomery, Tracie Moore,
Jil Sah, and Liz Novak lost only once en route to winning the second event. And the team of Else Festersen, Jeannie Borland, Lynn Shaw,
and Kristen Roenigk finished the event with a 3-2 record.
WKYC comes to Mayfield
The local NBC affiliate has been paying a lot of attention to the Mayfield Curling Club recently. First they sent the trio of Betsy Kling,
Monica Robins and Eric Mansfield to compete against each other (which aired Monday, February 15, 2010). Additionally, they shot a solid nine
minutes of footage that included some action shots and a lengthy interview with our icemaker, Roger Peckinpaugh. Check out the

We are proud to announce the opening of a curling pro shop, carrying items supplied by Steve's Curling. Grippers, brooms, replacement pads,
